Carter Eugene Bledsoe, age 56, of Grayson, Ky., passed away, Monday evening, May 3, 2010, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Ky., after an extended illness of the Lymes Disease.
He was born November 4, 1953, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Glen and Stella Bernice Roar Bledsoe.
Carter was of the Baptist faith, a twenty four year business man owning and operating two service stations in Grayson, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Tammy Barker.
He is survived by his wife of twenty six years, Catherine Mattlene Holbrook Bledsoe, two sons, Eugene Lydell Bledsoe, Carter Paul Bledsoe both of Grayson, Ky., three children by a previous marriage, Eric Bledsoe and April Kidd both of Morehead, Ky., Heather Pavez of Ashland, Ky., thirteen grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Micheal and Libby Gay Bledsoe, of Olive Hill, Ky., two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Cliff Quizguard, Shelia and Larry Jones all of Morehead, Kentucky. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky., with Brother Ricky Leadingham and Brother Buris Leadingham officiating. Burial will follow in the Parsons Cemetery on Bens Run in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
