Poet. Educated at the University of Illinois, he took a teaching position at Idaho State University, where he wrote and published his first book of poetry, “The Newly Fallen”in 1961. For the next three decades he amassed a very large collection of poetry published books. Some of his most noted works included "The Shoshoneans" (1965), "Gunslinger" (1974), “The Collected Poems: 1956-1974” (1975), “Hello, La Jolla” (1978), “Abhorrences” (1989), “High West Rendezvous: A Sampler” (1997) and many more.
