Des Moines

Robert A. Logan, 87, went to heaven on August 31, 2015. He passed away in Des Moines, Iowa. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, September 4 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 2900 49th Street in Des Moines.

Robert was born November 26, 1927 to Clem and Grace (Hollenbeck) Logan in Brycilin, Minnesota. He served as Pastor for 38 years, in various cities in North Dakota, including: Willinston, Streeter, Harvey, Bismarck, Cavalier, and Napoleon. He also served in Lamberton, MN. He retired in 1989 but never stopped loving and serving his Lord. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and Nebraska Cornhusker football. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Logan; daughter, Barbara Theige; his parents; and his siblings, Clayton Earl Logan, Wayne, Viola, Dale and Gloria.

Robert is remembered by his children, Roberta (Jeffrey) Schmidt, David (Rose) Logan, and Jeffrey (Kim) Logan; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Rex Logan; along with a host of extended family and many friends.

A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday, September 3 at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd in Clive, IA. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church.
