Son of Oscar & Hazel Wicklund.

1930 living with parents at 6327 Bedford Ave in Omaha.
1940 living with mother, father not found, at 2862 Tucker St. in Omaha.

1943 as a young man prior to entering WW II Robert worked for the Union Pacific Rail Road in Omaha, Nebraska.
1945 Joining the Merchant Marine during the war he found himself as an Able Bodied Seaman aboard the SS Fair Wind in 1945.
In 1946 he was assigned to the SS Lyons Creek.

1947 Robert married Joyce. They both work for the rail road. He as a passenger agent, she as a clerk for freight. They lived at 3118 Clay in Omaha.

By the 1970s he and his family, now including 3 children, were living in Palatine in suburban Chicago. He worked for United Airlines. After retirement he and Joyce retired to Idaho.

The two of them are survived by 2 sons, Mark, & David, and 1 daughter, Leslie.
