Mortie Nick "Marty" Anderson, 46, of Paris passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, following an automobile accident west of Paris.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at Restland Cemetery in Roxton with the Rev. Tiny Freelen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He was born June 29, 1958, in Dallas, the son of Teddy Wayne Anderson and Dora Faye O'Neal Anderson. He attended Paris High School where he played football. He was a cabinetmaker and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed softball and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda Kyle Anderson; his parents who live in Paris; a son, Marty Nick Anderson Jr. of Paris; two grandsons, Trey Anderson and Corey Anderson; three step-daughters, Jerrica Tidwell, Jocelyn Tidwell and Janell Gibson; two brothers, Danny Anderson and wife, Susan, of Powderly and Wayne Anderson and wife, Sarah, of Paris; one sister, Tammy Daugherty and husband, Todd, of Powderly; four nephews, D.J. Anderson, Shawn Winton, Buddy Daugherty and Cody Daugherty along with one niece, Connie Lester. Casket bearers are Dwayne Ray, Haskell Stephens, Martin Ayres, Danny Anderson, Mark Lott, Ricky Porter and Todd Daugherty.
