Russian surgeon, professor and social activist. He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Moscow University. Member of the First State Duma. He was chief physician of the clinic Iberian community. He taught at the University for women, and was professor in the department of surgical pathology at Moscow University. In 1913, chairman of the 8th Congress of Russian Surgeons. He worked in military hospitals during World War I and the Civil War. In 1920 he was evacuated to Constantinople. He was a close associate of P.N. Wrangel. He became part of the Russian Council as deputy chairman. He lectured at the National University of Constantinople. He arranged nursing courses in Constantinople, Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. In 1923 he settled in Paris. Became part of the joint Russian emigre Committee in France. Took part in the political meetings at the Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich. In 1924, he was elected chairman of the Society of Russian Physicians Mechnikov, a member of the Russian academic team, and member of the Society of Physicians of the Great War in 1914. Chairman of the Association of Russian doctors abroad (until 1935). From 1926, chairman of the Main Board and the Board of Russian patriotic overseas associations. Deputy chairman of the Russian Overseas Congress 1926 in Paris. A member of the Main Board of the Russian Red Cross Society (Rocco). One of the founders of the Franco-Russian Hospital in Villejuif near Paris. He worked there as a surgeon, was vice-chairman of the hospital. In 1929, Vice President, and in 1931 chairman of the Society of former students of Moscow University, and member of the Committee to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Moscow State University. Member of the Committee of Friends of Russian patronage Scouts (1931), chairman of the aid to families of fighters who died for their country (1932). Performed in Russian organizations, and carried out presentations at medical and socio-political issues. He participated in the meetings of the Russian chamber, Moscow Friendly Society, and others, and read a series of lectures at the Union doctors in the Russian Student Christian Movement (RSCM). He participated in organizing charity parties in favor of the indigent sick and the unemployed. In 1932 he was awarded by King Alexander of Yugoslavia Order of St. Sava, 2nd degree for his work to the benefit of Russian refugees. In 1937 he moved to Morocco. He worked at a clinic in Casablanca.
