Helen A. Holderby, 87, a resident of Park Manor Rehbilitation Center, died there April 5, 2007.

The graveside service will be 4 p.m. Monday at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens, 300 S.E. Myra Road, College Place.

Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt Cremations & Funeral Services; 1551 Dalles Military Road.

Mrs. Holderby was born January 15, 1920, in Amsterdam, Montana, to Leonard and Emma Hammersma Verwolf. She moved to Seattle in the late 1930s, and worked at Boeing in the tool room, where she met future husband Delbert Holderby. They were married in December 1940.

She was a homemaker, worked on the ranch, drove a school bus, cleaned houses, fed everyone, and enjoyed time with family and dog, Dixie.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Bob Vance of Walla Walla; granddaughters, Teresa Larson, Lisa McShane and Jamie Edmonson; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a son, Jim Holderby.
