Alvin was born in Corsica, SD, to Barney and Jennie D Boer, March 3, 1931 and went home to be with the Lord, October 5, 2012.

Alvin had four brothers and three sisters who were all very special to him. He is survived by his sister Joanne De Jong of Michigan and his six children Terry De Boer, Craig (Jackie) De Boer of Prineville, Oregon, Gail (Craig) Siri, Tammy (Vaughn) McKnight, Peggy (Les) Jones, Mitch De Boer of Elko and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Alvin was buried in South Dakota on October 12, 2012. A celebration of his life will be held in the showroom of the Stockmen's Hotel on October 28, 2012 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Anyone who wishes may make donations in his name to the Hunstman Cancer Foundation, 500 Huntsman Way, SLC, UT 84108.

Alvin will be deeply missed by family and friends.
