Funeral services for Lyle V. DeBoer were held November 29, 1996, at 2 p.m. at Marne United Methodist Church in Marne, Michigan.

Lyle V. DeBoer was born February 4, 1934, in Corsica. He attended Corsica Christian Grade School and graduated from Corsica High School. He graduated from Calvin College and received his master's degree from Michigan State University. He was employed by the Grand Rapids Board of Education until his retirement.

He passed away Monday, November 25, 1996, at his home in Marne, Michigan, at the age of 62.

Survivors include his wife Judi; three daughters, Jane and husband Jim Sample of San Diego, California, Mary and husband Arne Gronemeier of Germany, and Sue Cederquist of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two grandchildren, Mac Cederquist and Melissa Ann Sample; two step-children, Jeff and Audra Dykman; three brothers, Sam, George and Alvin; and two sisters, Anne Murray and Joanne Bettenhausen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Jennie DeBoer; one sister, Elizabeth Goemaat; and one brother, Sam DeBoer.
