W. NUTTING RITES TO BE ON SATURDAY

Funeral services for Winfield Nutting, 78, who died at a hospital in Storm Lake Wednesday morning, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Major Memorial Chapel, with the I.O.O.F. Lodge, of which he was a member in charge.

Mr. Nutting was born May 29, 1868, at Lodi, Wis. He moved with his family to a farm northwest of Mason City in 1887, and moved to Mason City 58 years ago. He was a building contractor and was employed by the Chicago Great Western Railroad for 19 years. He retired in 1941.

Surviving are his wife, Dora M., a daughter, Mrs. I.H. Wahrer, Kitchner, Ontario, Canada; and a son, Clifford W. Nutting, Storm Lake; a brother, Clarence Nutting, St. James, Mo.; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wallace Nutting.

Mr. Nutting became ill while spending Christmas with his son. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. The Major Funeral Home in charge.

NUTTING RITES HELD BY ODD FELLOWS AT MAJOR FUNERAL HOME

Funeral services for Winfield Nutting, 76, who died at a hospital in Storm Lake Wednesday, were held at the Major Memorial Chapel Saturday afternoon, with Elmer L. Martin, noble grand of the I.O.O.F. Lodge officiating.

Mrs. Roy Servison played obsequial music on the organ.

Mrs. G.G. Weida and Mrs. W.H. Boyd were in charge of flowers.

Pallbearers were Carl Grupp, Oliver Repp, Carl Parker, Glen Hamblin, Harry Van Every and G.G. Weida. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery. The Major Funeral in charge.
