Age 80, of Owosso, passed away Saturday evening, October 7, 2000, at Memorial Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Apsey was a homemaker, and had worked at Redmonds and Midwest Abrasive earlier in her life.
Services will be held at Jennings-Lyons Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, October 10, 2000, at 2 p.m., Father William Boli will officiate with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
Mrs. Apsey was born in Durand, December 27, 1919, the daughter of Bert and Jennie (Perkins) Shook. She attended Durand High School, and had resided most of her life in the Durand and Owosso areas. On May 31, 1947, she married Robert Lee Apsey in Durand.
She had been a member of the Episcopal Church, Durand; Corunna V.F.W. Auxillary, den mother for Cub Scouts; and room mother at Washington School.
Survivors include; husband, Robert Apsey; two sons, Robert Jr, (Sue) Apsey of Owosso, Dennis (Diane) Apsey of Owosso; three grandchildren, Dennis, Jennifer, Becky; four great-grandchildren, Alana, Dawson, Sydney, Duston; two brothers, Bert (Betty) Shook of Durand, Bill (Ilene) Shook of Florida; one sister, Gertrude (Giles) Henderson of Indian River, Michigan; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by; her parents; two brothers, Arthur and Stuart; two sisters, Phyliss and Claudia.
