George E. Apsey

Yale, Oct. 29- George E. Apsey, 86, lifelong resident of the Yale Community,
Died unexpectedly of a heart attack this morning at his home on Park Ave.
He had risen and eaten a hearty breakfast before the fatal attack.
Mr. Apsey was an ardent hunter and even went into the North woods when he was more than 80. He also has written light verse, much of which has been published in the Yale
Expositor.
He is survived by four sons, Floyd, and Stanley Apsey both of Detroit, Charles Apsey, Corunna, Mich., Edmund Apsey, Yale, who lived with his father, seven daughters, Mrs. John Tomlinson, and Mrs. Frank Glaze, both of Detroit, Mrs. Tom McCaffry, and Mrs. Bernard Hoffman, both of Ferndale, Mich., Mrs. Ralph Wood, Lapeer, Mrs. William Shepard, Brown City, and Mrs. William Donnelly, Cleveland, O., 23 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and one brother Mack, Lincoln, Mich.
Mrs. Apsey died Oct. 30, 1931

Yale, Nov. 1- Rev. A.T.F. Butt officiated at funeral services this afternoon in Yale Methodist Church, for George E. Apsey, 86, life long resident died unexpectedly of a heat attack in his home on Park Ave. Wednesday morning. Burial was in Elk Cemetery at Peck.
