Actor. One of the original Keystone Cops of silent films, Bystrom came to California from Michigan. He started in films as an extra before transitioning to the Keystone Cops in 1917. After retiring from films, he began work as a purchasing agent for San Diego County, California. He retired from that job in 1958.
