The Commomwealth War Graves Commission website notes him as a son of John Henry James Hill and Maud Hill, of East Croydon, Surrey.
A genealogical search shows his mother's maiden surname was Williams, his birth being registered in the first quarter of 1918.

The plane [A Handley Page Hampden Bomber, AD 730, from RAF Lindholme - near Doncaster, Yorkshire] was part of a group of 118 sent, on the night of Thursday 17th April 1941, to bomb Berlin. The mission seems to have been a tactical disaster, with many of the planes failing to find their target, due to cloud cover. This plane is believed to have bombed a secondary target, but lost the way coming back, and was reported crossing over the Irish Coast in South Dublin at 04.05 on the morning of 18 April. At 04.18 it was noted over Carbury, Co. Kildare. At 04.32 it was over Hollywood, Co Wicklow. It crashed into Black Hill, near Lacken, Co. Wicklow. The aircraft clock was stopped at 04.34.
Because of the remote location of the crash, the site was not accessed until Saturday 19 April. As the cause of death was obvious, the coroner decided that an inquest was not necessary.
The Irish Government accorded a military funeral for the four crew members at Blessington.

From the details now available, the correct date of their deaths is 18th April 1941.

The crew of the Handley Page Bomber, AD 730, comprised,
Pilot: John Kenneth Hill
Navigator: Sgt. Jack Lamb
Wireless Op/Air Gunner Sgt. Fred Erdwin
Air Gunner: Sgt. Stanley Wright
