9th Glasgow Highlanders Battalion.
During the First World War the territorial battalions, including the 9th battalion, formed duplicate "second line" units, to supplement the main regiment. The recruitment area was Glasgow and Lowland Scotland. The battalion was dissolved after the war.
Private Brown died in a boating accident, on the River Shannon, on Wednesday 14th July 1920.
