Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he was the son of the late George A. and Katherine Frederick Kuebler. He resided in Erie from 1902 to 1922, and was a graduate of Erie High School. He received a fellowship to the Julliard School of Music in Rochester, and sang in the Paulist Choir of NYC. He performed on Broadway, and was a cast member in musical Jumbo, starring Jimmy Durante. He also sang in the Sammy Kaye and Paul Whiteman orchestras. He was a soloist and organist in several NYC churches, and sang in light opera productions. He never married.

John was my great-uncle. He stood well over 6 feet, and we children called him Giant John.
