Mary was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools including the former Kelly Business School. She was employed as a secretary at the John P. Hancock Insurance Company in Niagara Falls, NY for twenty-five years until her retirement in 1975. Mary was an original member of the former Century Club in Niagara Falls, NY and also a member of the LaSalle Sportsman Club in the Town of Niagara. Mary loved dancing with her husband Richard, and also enjoyed crocheting.
Mrs. Calandrelli is survived by her daughter Jeanine (late Walter) Martyniuk of Lewiston, NY; her son Richard J. (Marion) Calandrelli of Youngstown, NY and was predeceased by one son Gerald S. (Tamara of Camillus, NY) Calandrelli on November 16, 2007. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Toni-Jean, Laurie Ann, Mary Jo, Jeri Ann, Tara, Richard Jr. and Reanne; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by one granddaughter, Kerrie Marie, one brother, Anthony (late Betty) Soluri and one sister, Ella Soluri.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday December 24th at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
