Served on Oncology board

Eleanor F. (Soluri) Piro of Sunnydale Drive, a member of the board of directors of the Niagara Oncology Association, died Tuesday (July 8, 1986) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Piro, 45, was born in Niagara Falls and was the daughter of Anthony J. and Betty (Allen) Soluri of Niagara Falls.

In 1958, she graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

Mrs. Piro had been employed as a clerk in the card shop of Jenss department store at Summit Park Mall, Wheatfield.

She was program coordinator and an active volunteer for the Niagara Oncology Association.

Besides her parents, survivors include her husband, Carmen Piro; a son, David J. Piro, of Niagara Falls; daughters, Rene A. Piro and Gina M. Piro, both of Niagara Falls; a brother, Ronald J. Soluri of Grand Island; sisters, Ms. Joyce Jackson of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Michael (Mary Louise) Ventry of Norcross, Ga., and Mrs. James (Judith) Capolupo of Grand Island; and a grandson and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Rhoney Funeral Home Inc., 1124 Ontario Ave. A funeral service at 9 a.m., Thursday in the funeral home will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's R.C. Cemetery.
