Served as an Aviation Radioman Second Class with Bombing Squadron 111 PB4Y in China, Burma, India and was a member of a patrol squadron attached to Aircraft of the 7th fleet. Received the Asiatic Pacific Medal with 3 stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with one star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Combat Airscrewman Insignia, Air Medal with 5 stars and was honorably discharged on December 20, 1945.
