Wesley C. Cagley

CHARLES CITY — Wesley C. Cagley, 47, of 100 Park Lane Drive, Apt. No. 11, in Charles City, died Thursday, (March 1, 2007) at his residence in Charles City.

No visitation or formal services are planned at this time.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

As per Wes’ final request, cremation has taken place at Cremation Services of North Iowa in Mason City in the care of Fullerton Funeral Home.

Wesley Clyde Cagley was born July 9, 1959, in Charles City, to Hugh Ed and Maryjean Louise (Ward) Cagley. “Wes” as he was affectionately known by family and friends, attended school and received his education in Charles City. Wes honorably and faithfully served his country in the Iowa National Guard.

On April 12, 1980,Wes was united in marriage to Karla J. Huffman in Charles City. He was a lifelong resident of Charles City. Wes devoted 20 years of employment at the Sherman Nursery in Charles City.

Some of Wes’ interests included fishing, hunting, collecting old marbles and coins.

Grateful for having had the privilege of sharing in Wes’ life are his wife, Karla Cagley of Charles City; his mother, Maryjean Louise Cagley of Charles City; three children, Christina Cagley (Thad Smith) of Garner, Jason Cagley (Tracy Siverly) of Charles City and Matt Cagley of Charles City; three granddaughters, Emily, Breanna and Elizabeth “Lizzy”; two sisters, Kelley (Brent) Waid of Charles City, and Sherri (Verl) Martin of Charles City; two brothers, Nic (Cheryl) Cagley of Floyd and Jeff Cagley of California.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Ed Cagley, and one sister, Julie Berding.
