Ann wrote a book, For the Love of Lesley, The Moors Murders remembered by a victims Mother in 1987. Ann's 10 year old daughter Lesley Ann Downey was murdered on Boxing Day 1964 in Manchester England by 2 monsters who killed 4 other children, John Kilbride 12, Pauline Reade 16, Keith Bennett 12 and Edward Evans 17. Ann died from cancer in 1999. Actually Ann stopped living the day Lesley died and slowly her health declined due to the loss and the continuing fight to keep the monsters in jail. Thank God one is now dead and the other at deaths door. It all took its toll on her till she could go on now more but I know she is at peace now and once again with her beloved Lesley.
