John 's father died when he was only a few months old. His mother married William Chambers , 27 April 1801 . John grew up in Cossall and became a common laborer. John and Ann were among the first to be baptized in Derbyshire . All of his children and their spouses were baptized within the next year. John and Ann and two of their unmarried children, Mary and Samuel , left England in 1851 .
They spent some time in St. Joseph, Missouri , before going west. When they arrived in the Valley in 1853 , there were only two Bradshaws , John and Ann .
They went to Cedar City for awhile and then in 1857/8 they settled in Virgin City, Utah , where their son, Samuel had settled. He lived there until his death. Children: Mary , b.
