Louise Hollandsworth Arrington, 73, of 530 Reed Creek Drive, Bassett, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
She was born May 24, 1931, in Franklin County, to James Issac Hollandsworth and Minnie Lou Gibson Hollandsworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Faith Arrington on June 23; two sisters, Eula Cannaday and Loleen Holley; and two brothers, Curtis Hollandsworth and Seth Hollandsworth.
She was a 1948 graduate of Henry High School and had worked at Jessup Furniture Co., Regent Industries and Bassett Chair Co.
She was a member of the Woodmen of the World Court No. 388, Collinsville, where she had served in all offices. She was a past chief of Fairystone Temple Pythian Sisters of Bassett and was a charter member of Thomasson Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Charles T. Arrington Sr. of the home; two sons, Taylor Arrington of Ferrum and Brandon S. Arrington of the home; and two sisters, Della Gardner of Snow Creek and Goldie Martin of Collinsville.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Collins Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Doby Salmons officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home
