She was born in Martinsville on May 23, 1954, to Charles Arrington and Louise Hollandsworth Arrington of Bassett.
She graduated from Bassett High School and Patrick Henry Community College, and worked for a number of years in management at several local grocery stores before becoming disabled. She was a member of the Woodman of the World Corp 388, Collinsville, and of Thomasson Heights Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She formerly served as choir director at Stanleytown United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, surviving is a son, Brandon S. Arrington of the home; and a brother, Taylor Arrington of Ferrum.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Collins Funeral Chapel at Bassett. The Rev. Doby Salmons will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
