Mrs. Mary G. Barnes

RICHMOND – Mrs. Mary Gibson Barnes, 82, 4722 Wistar Road, died Monday at the home of a daughter in Danville. She was the widow of Vester Lee Barnes who died Feb. 5.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Irene Cox, Mrs. Christine Clemons and Mrs. Hester Johnson of Richmond and Mrs. Eva Joyce of Danville; seven sons, Leslie L., E. Harold, Henry W. and Charlie A. Barnes, all of Richmond, J.B. Barnes of Charlotte, N.C., Sr. Master Sgt. Chester Barnes, Langley AFB, Hampton and Leonard E. Barnes of Martinsville; and four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Carter and Mrs. Phora Fulcher of Ferrum, Mrs. Vergie Stone of Fieldale and Mrs. Annie Stone of Lynchburg.

The body is at Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road, where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
