John F. "Frankie" Arnold, age 58, died Friday, January 9, 1998, at Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond. He was a resident of Bluegrass Homes in Richmond.
He was born in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Evelyn Arnold of Big Hill, Ky. and the late Ernest F. Arnold, and lived in the Madison County area all of his life.Arnold was a retired Bluegrass Army Depot employee. He was a member of the Richmond American Legion and the Boonesboro V.F. W. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Arnold was preceded in death by one brother James Arnold.He is survived by his wife Jane Aline Thomas Arnold of Richmond; one daughter, Jane Mauro of Big Hill, Ky.; one sister, Sharon Thacker of Richmond; two brothers, Lee Arnold of Henderson, Tenn. and Eddie Arnold of Texas; and one grandchild.Funeral services were held Monday, January 12, 1998 at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea, with Reverend Larry Thacker and Reverend Edward Lainhart officiation. Interment followed in the Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Vic Mauro, Darrell Stanley, Dave Caudill, Donnie Thomas, Dennis Thomas, and Jerry Thomas.Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
