John was born in England in about 1650. Nothing of his parents and siblings are known.

On 19 Oct 1680 in Brumpton, Berkshire, England he married Alice Glover. Her parents were George & Alice (Lamboll) Glover.

On 19 Nov 1680 John is listed in "Notes from Friends Records in England" when he requested a certificate of his clearness from the Alton Monthly Meeting on Nov. 19, 1680. It was granted.

A contributor indicated that the couple left Deal, England on 30 Aug 1682 on the Welcome. However another contributor relays that their names were not listed as passengers. (This poster has seen omissions from passenger lists before.) Sometime in 1682 John was working as a surveyor in America.

On 2 Aug 1684 John bought 100 acres in Birmingham, Chester Co, PA. He bought this land from his brother-in-law. William Lamboll, Aug 24, 1684, conveyed to John Brunsdan of Bucklebury in Berkshire, yeoman, 100 acres of his purchase from William Penn. Records show John owned a total of 625 acres in Chester Co, PA.

Various information on John's death date makes it unclear. It was sometime between 1686-92.

Info on a highway being laid out 10-25-1687, mentions Alice Brundsen's name in describing the line of the highway. This would indicate her husband had died previous to this time. This is the only record that mentions a date.

Brundsen died leaving three children -- John, who died in his minority; Hannah, who married John Buckingham, and Alice, who married, had a son who died, and she died soon after. John and Hannah Buckingham of Birmingham, as heirs of the land, conveyed it to Samuel Painter Dec. 3d, 1711.

There is no information to show what church John & Alice belonged to when he died so his exact burial site in Chester County, PA is unknown.
