Note: The date stated in the DOB field is based on the Death Certificate. The 1900 census lists 7/1887 as the DOB. 1910, 1920 and 1930 give estimates of 1887. His marriage license in King County, Washington has no DOB listed for either Donald or his wife. The date of birth on the Ohio Bar Application is 1886. His Selective Service records for the AEF in WWI lists 1886. However, Marion Cemetery sets his age on the lot slip, in 1939 as 52, thus his DOB would be 1887, and would be in agreement with his death certificate. So as one can see, the weight of evidence falls on 1887.

A request for an edit to change Donald's birthdate to "30 Jul 1886" has been submitted, and declined because no verifiable primary source entry for that has been found. The can be changed if the verifiable primary source information is cited and provided.
