Gertrude Wright Kling, daughter of George and Martha Ellen (Monnett) Wright. Following her divorce from her husband she established a successful insurance agency in Marion, Ohio which was able to pay for a college education for both of her sons, George Monnett Kling (later known by his stage name of "Saxon Kling") and Donald Wyant Kling. Gertrude and both of her sons were Christian Scientists, which may have lead to their premature deaths. Gertrude of cancer, and Donald from a stroke, within two weeks of each other, and Saxon of Lymphatic Cancer eleven months later.
