Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church for Joseph Bohte, 87, Medford, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident Sunday afternoon. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Leo I Block will officiate, and burial will be made in St. Ann's Catholic cemetery in the town of Greenwood. The body will repose at the the Ruesch Funeral Home in Medford until time of services. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford for parish rosary service will be conducted there at 7:30 p. m. tonight (Tuesday), followed by the Knights of Columbus rosary service at 8 p. m. tonight. Joseph Bohte was born Oct. 27, 1876, in Yugoslavia, and came to the United States in 1885, and settled in Calumet, Mich. His marriage to Anna Plautz took place May 28, 1899, in Calumet. After their marriage, the couple moved to the town of Greenwood where he operated a farm until 1944. For the past two years he and his wife have been making their home with their son-in-law land daughter, Mr. and Mrs.j Fred Weigel in Medford. Mr. Bohte was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters, and served as a member of the Rib River School Board for 27 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Ann Serio, Mrs. Mary Javens, Mrs. Catherine Levin, Mrs. Josephine Zainier, Mrs. Angeline Schenberger, Milwaukee, Mrs. Francis Seidel, Westboro, Mrs. Dorothy Weigel, Medford; four sons, Joseph and John, California; Frank, Dorchester; and Edward, Rib Lake; 28 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
