Buck was born December 7, 1901, in Coolidge, Texas, the 4th of 6 children born to William Hiram & Amy Lee Mills Roy.
On November 16, 1923, he married Blanche Virginia Harding at Prarie Hill, Texas. They had 5 children, Margie Virginia, Thomas "Bud" Jr., Barbara Jean, Jack, and Maurine.
Buck served in the Army during WWII. He was survived by his second wife, Earlie Mae Jones Worthington Roy.
Burial was in Laurel Land Cemetery, Fort Worth, with Ray Crowder Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
