Michael Ceriale was a City Police Officer in Chicago, Illinois. He served just 1 year and 3 months for the Police Force, dying in the line of duty at age 26. Officer Ceriale was working undercover conducting a narcotics serveillance. During the surveillance, he was spotted by the offenders who had entered a nearby apartment building and informed one of the gang's security guards or look-out's. The look-out was a 16 year old juvenile who exited the building and fired once, from 60-70 yards away, striking Officer Ceriale in the stomach, just below the vest. Officer Ceriale died 6 days later, after the incident. The murderer Johnathan Tollier, was sentenced to 60 years in Prison. Survived by his parents, Maria & Anthony Ceriale.
