Frederick Buchalter died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday on his farm near this place, the result of a stroke of apoplexy. Aged 83 years, 8 months and 20 days. Deceased was born in Wurtenberg Germany, March 10th 1826, and came to this country landing in New York, July 15th 1847. From that city he came to Reading and for a number of years conducted a farm in this vicinity. He was married in Reading to Miss Catharine (Shimp), who died about 28 years ago. Of the seven children, two sons and two daughters survive. Charles and John of Phila.; and Catharine, wife of Frederick Blimline, at home. Deceased was a member of the Gouglersville Lutheran Church and was well known in this section. The funeral will be held Monday Dec. 6, at 9:30 a.m.., at the house. Services and internment at Gouglersville Church. Rev. Z. H. Gable officiating.
