Sarah Reed, nee Schuman, widow of John B. Reed, passed away a 1 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. James Reed, on Mack's farm, on Easton avenue, West Side, Bethlehem. She was aged 86 years, 5 months and 10 days. Mrs. Reed was born in Longswamp on March 31, 1838, a daughter of John and Sarah Schuman. There remain two sons, James B., of Mack's farm, Easton avenue, and Edward Reed, of Philadelphia, and a daughter, Mrs. John Picker [Ricker] of York county, fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will take place on Saturday at 2 p. m. Services will be held at the house, followed by interment in Fairview cemetery, Allentown.
