Jeffrey was the oldest of two children born to Jewell and Norma (Douglas) Barter.

HARRISBURG - Jeffrey Douglas Barter, 39, of Atlanta, Ga., died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 1993 at home.
Mr. Barter was a draper and president of Barter and Galambos Inc. Custom Drapes.
He was born Aug. 16, 1953, in Harrisburg to J. D. and Norma (Douglas) Barter.
He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Atlanta and Alpha Omega Fraternity. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers. he graduated from Chamblee High school in Atlanta in 1971 and Tulane University in 1975 with a bachelor of arts degree.
Services will be at 10:30 Friday at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Harrisburg, with the Rev. Ben Anderson officiating. Private visitation will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, and public visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include one sister, Judi Jean barter of Chapel Hill, N.C.; grandmother, Mrs. J. D. Barter of Harrisburg; grandfather, William Douglas of Harrisburg, his father, J. D. Barter of Harrisburg; his mother, Norma Barter of Harrisburg; and many devoted friends.
