Mabel May Bugg Michael was the daughter of William Benjamin and Jessie Brown Bugg. Records conflict as to whether she was born in 1902 (census records), or 1903 (gravestone inscription).
Mable had two brothers, Gordon, and another that died at birth. She was the granddaughter of Martha "Mattie" Temperance McAllister (McAlester) and William Thomas Bugg.

Mabel was the wife Homer Erdie Michael, son of John Franklin "Frank" Michael and Sarah Ann Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jones Michael. They married December 6, 1920 in Sebastian County, Arkansas where they initially established a home in Mont Sandels (Barling area) near Homer's parents. As an occupation, Homer engaged in farming.

By 1942, Mabel and Homer relocated to the community of Hackett (per draft registration).
They had seven chidren: John William, Mary Ann, Harold Eugene, Homer Jr., Delmar Dean, and Patty Sue Michael.
Mabel passed in 1960. Homer survived her by several years. He died in 1987. Both are buried at Hartford Memorial Park, in Hartford, Sebastian County, Arkansas.
