John James Canham, son of William Canham and Elizabeth Alice Canham, formerly Graydon, was born on 23 December 1895, at the family home at 12 Holles Row, Dublin.
His father was a Collector for an Insurance Company.
They had been married on 2 March 1891, at St. Stephen's Church, Mount Street, Dublin.
William Canham died at The Adelaide Hospital, Dublin, on 14 April 1899, aged 32.
Elizabeth Alice remarried before the 1911 census
In the 1911 Census, Jack Canham a 15 year old Garden Apprentice, was recorded at 29 Penrose Street.
39 year old Alice Connolly was recorded as his mother, said to be married for 20 years and had 5 children, 3 of whom were living with her.
Death.
John Canham, aged 22, a bachelor, a Discharged Soldier, died at his home 29 Penrose Street, Dublin, on 9 November 1918.
The cause of death was Influenza, Broncho-Pneumonia, certified.
The informant of his death was Arthur Canham, brother, of 29 Penrose Street, who registered it on 9 November 1918.
