James Francis Cash, son of Denis Cash and Catherine Cash, formerly Brien, was born on 15 July 1895, at 8 Clarence Place, Dublin.
His father was a Coal Labourer.

In the 1901 census, the Cash family were living at 8 Sandwith Street, Dublin.

The death of a man named Denis Cash was registered in Dublin in Q1. 1904. Said to be aged 50.

James Joseph Cash, aged 26, a bachelor, a Soldier, died on 7 November 1918, at The Military Hospital, Fermoy, Co. Cork.
The cause of death was Influenza, 4 days, Pneumonia, certified.
His death was registered on 9 November 1918, by a member of the staff of the Hospital
He is buried in a grave plot in which his older brother,
Sapper John Cash
who was also a WW1 casualty, is also buried.
Denis and Catherine, and their two sons James and John, are all buried in this grave, but only James and John are named on the CWGC headstones.
His name is included in
