Maurice H. Ferree, 84, Elizabeth, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Nov. 15, 1926, in Laconia, he was the son of the late Stanley E. and Opal U. Schweitzer Ferree.
He as an operator for LG&E and a member of the Corydon Masonic Lodge No. 32 and the Lighthouse United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Violet M. Troutman; two daughters, Mary Thompson and Carol Pellman, both of Elizabeth; a brother, Carl E. Ferree of New Albany; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, July 30, from 3 to 8 p.m., Sunday, July 31, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 1, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Masonic service: Sunday, July 31, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Monday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with graveside military rites and burial at Rehoboth Cemetery.
Officiant: Donnie Allen.
