William was the son of Reuben Comley and Elizabeth Kanatzer. About 1900 he married Lillian Deisenroth and they had three children: Carl, Viola and Loretta. On 07 Jun 1917 he married his second wife, Hester McGill, and they had one daughter, Dorothy. At various times he was employed as a riveter for a shipbuilding company, a sawyer in a mill, and also for the Akron, Canton & Youngstown Railroad. William died at the age of 83.
