On 02 Dec 1854 Elizabeth married William Buhrlage and they had five children, three of whom are known: Amelia, Henry, and William, Jr. William died in 1893 and the following year she married Julius Eschmann, William's former business partner. Elizabeth died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the Norton Infirmary at the age of 67.
