Albert was the ninth of eleven children born to John Arts and Margaret Yopp. On 22 Jan 1908 he married Margaret Neihoff and that they had four children: John, James, Margaret, and William. Albert was a plumber for most of his life. He died of carcinoma of the liver at Lourdes Hospital at the age of 78.
