"Leslie" was the daughter of Charles Franck and Frances Pape. Some time in the mid 1920's she moved to New York to pursue a modeling career. While there she met New York native Edward J. Whalen and they were married about 1927. They never had any children. Leslie became a registered nurse and by 1930 she and Edward moved to Fort Thomas, Kentucky, where they would live the remainder of their lives.
