Fall Victim's Rites Monday
Mrs. McMichael 87, Was Widow of Veteran
Services for Mrs. Eliza C. McMichael, 87, of 4520 Twelfth Street, who died at Mercy Hospital as the result of a fall, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Dunn's Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McMichael was visiting relatives at Hurdland, Mo., when she fell. She was bedridden by the accident, and pneumonia was the immediate cause of her death.
She was the widow of a Civil War veteran, James M. McMichael of Company C, Twenty-third Iowa Division. She was born near Saylorville, Ia.
Four children survive. They are Anna (Mrs. Ed) Lowe, William McMichael and Charles McMichael of Des Moines and John McMichael of Los Angeles. A brother Gabe Howard, lives north of Saylorville.
