Stage Actor. Born José María Alba Moreno in Sagunto, Valencia, Pepe Alba was one of the most beloved stage actors of his time. He began his career at the age of seventeen as amateur. He made his 1909 debut in the play "Sangre Mora." He then worked with several stock companies, getting an immediate success. Pepe Alba married actress Emilia Clement and they created their own stage company, touring by Spain and South America. His most renowned performances include "Arròs en Fesols i Naps," "Ratolins de Casa Rica," "Pare Vosté la Burra, Amic" and "Las Leandras."
