Obituary:
Rudy Phillip Ramos of Waimea died July 4, 2009, at The Queen’s Hospital at age 62. He was a self-employed excavation contractor, an active member of the Garden Island Racing Association and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arcadio and Elizabeth Rapozo Ramos; infant brother, Patrick; and in-laws, Domingo and Alberta Graychochea of Kahuku. He is survived by wife Francine Tejada Ramos, son Rudy L. Kelani Ramos of Waianae, brothers Donald (Sherry) of Mililani and Cedric (Sheryl), sisters Maxine and Dolores Ramos of Kaua‘i, brothers-in-law Francisco (Cissy), Allan (Ramona) Tejada, Don (Suzy), Devi (Marc) of Kahuku and Duran (DJ) Graychochea of Lihu‘e. A celebration of his life will be on Saturday, July 11, at the Church of Latter-day Saints, Lihu‘e Ward, with visitation from 9-11 a.m. and service at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
