Luftwaffe. 2nd November 1940.
Stab II/JG52.
Messerschmitt Bf109E (3784). Escort sortie to London. Shot down by RAF Spitfire of 92 Squadron and crashed at Burmarsh Halt, Dymchurch, Kent, 8.55am. Hptm. Wilhelm Enßlen (FF, Gruppenkommandeur) bailed-out but parachute failed and he fell in the sea and killed (Body recovered from the sea off Dymchurch). Aircraft a write-off.

Misidentified as A. Schenk.
Next year (2012) the German War Graves Commission (VDK) will be replacing some of the "Ein Deutscher Soldat" graves with named grave stones, also a wrongly named grave will be given the correct name. . .
