Brandi Leigh Burton, Age 9 years old, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at her residence after a very strong and courageous battle with Cancer. She was diagnosed with the Cancer, Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma in August 2007.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 1 o'clock pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with the Rev. John Browning officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 – 8 o'clock pm and again on Friday, December 3rd from Noon till the hour of the funeral service.
Brandi was born on March 28, 2001 in Hermitage, Tennessee. She was a student at Pleasant View Elementary School and she attended the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church and the Harper Road Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Jodi and Kevin Thompson; father, Dean Burton; brother, Brandon "Tyler" Burton; grandparents, Nancy and Whit Smith, Jerry and Sheri Winkle, and Dorothy Seay; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the CureSearch for Children's Cancer for Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma research. All donations can be sent in care of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home. The Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View is in charge of the arrangements.
