Friends,

It is with deep sorrow that I write to each of you;
Rachel Katherine, our beautiful little girl,
suffered a massive stroke yesterday morning and
has gone to be with the Lord.

Rachel is now free of pain which she had to
endure over the last year and a half. Her pain
was becoming worse over the last week so we
are thankful she has no more pain.

We were scheduled to go to Orlando Florida today
to start a new trial that may or may not have
helped our little girl, but I truly believe in my
heart God felt that enough was enough and didn't
want her subject to anymore chemo, needles,
sickness, pills, pain medications, travel so he
took her the night before we could get on the plane.

Rebecca and I will post shortly information for
Rachel's funeral; we would welcome the oppurtunity
to hug each and everyone of you during this
difficult time.

Services for Rachel will be at Chantilly Bible
Church located at 4390 Pleasant Valley Road,
Chantilly, VA 20151 and are as follows:

- Visitation will Thursday, January 13 between
the hours of 6 pm - 9 pm
- Church Service will be Friday, January 14 from
11 am - noon followed by a reception from noon
to 2 pm.

Thank you and God bless.

Rachel celebrated her 2nd birthday in August
2009. She is and always has been a playful,
energetic, happy baby. She is Mom and Dad's little
angel. Her big sister Kaitlyn (Kay Kay) and big
brother RJ and are her best friends.

Rachel loves dancing, coloring, going to Gymboree,
jumping on the trampoline, swinging, playing and
watching Backyardigans, Little Bear, and Dora.

Rachel has learned how to look into Dad's or big
brother's eyes and get whatever she wants...usually,
it's to play games and when over, we all need a
nap except of course...Rachel ready for more games...

In June of 2009 Rachel was diagnosed with a very
rare and difficult cancer to cure. Rachel will
have to adjust to her new normal hospital visits
but her easy going personality and love for life
and all the prayers over her will help her conquer Neuroblastoma Stage 4 disseminated high risk cancer.

Due to her diagnosis her life will be very different
and so will the D'Andreas. Her expected 18 month
treatment plan will be exhausting in every way.
She will endure multiple rounds of chemotherapy
and radiation followed by surgery to remove two
tumors, a bone marrow transplant, and antibody
therapy.

Please follow us on a journey of hope, recovery
and healing. We covet your prayers and will
keep you informed as she and her family battles
the disease.
