From the ALTOONA MIRROR, July 30 1929, pg 28:

A resident of Cambria county, died at
the Spangler hospital Thursday morning at 6 o'clock of a complication of
diseases after a few weeks' illness.
He was born in Indiana county in 1866 the son of John and Margaret Gressley, both deceased, and was aged 63. He is survived by hia wife, Mrs.
Bell Gressley and the following children Mrs. Calvin Myers, with whom
he made his home; Mrs. Grier Rain of Akron, O., Mrs. Henry Bennett of
Lakemont, Milton Gressley of Buffalo, N. Y-, Joseph Gressley of
Akron; also by five brothers and three
sisters, Clark Gressley of Barnesboro, Howard Gressley of Ohio, Washington Gressley of Gypsy, David
Gressley of Uniontown, Shemp Gressley of Greenville, Mrs. Manda Wakefield of Orville, O., Mrs. May Ray of
Clymer and Mrs. Jane Steward of
Johnstown. There are twenty-seven
grandchildren also surviving. Brief
services were held at the late home
Sunday afternoon in charge of Brother
A. D. Mosher and the cortege then
proceeded to East Ridge, Cambria
county, where additional services were
conducted in the Brethren church, in
-charge of Rev. Frank Williams, pastor
of the Lakemont Bible mission. Interment was made in the East Ridge
cemetery.
